<p> The Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin instructed to install a temporary traffic light on Yershova Street in the area of the public transport stop. The traffic light is necessary for the convenience of pedestrians in connection with the closure of the underpass on July 6 due to ongoing construction work on the improvement of the entrance group to the Gorky Park. </p> <p> During the reconstruction works, the territory of the bus stop from the park side was moved 300 meters along the road. A sidewalk has been made from the previous stop to Karl Marx Street, 69. After the closure of the underpass, Kazan residents were offered two options for crossing Yershova Street: at the intersection with Zinina Street or at the intersection with Gorkovogo Street. Both crossings are located at a distance from the public transport stop. This caused a large number of appeals to the online reception of the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin. Residents expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of explanatory information. </p> <p> According to the interdepartmental commission, the traffic light will start working from Tuesday. </p> <p> For reference, the reconstruction of the entrance group of Gorky Park began in April. The square will become an active recreation area with benches, tables and canopies. A wide staircase will be changed in to two -staircase, they will be separated by green areas that will help to clearly distribute pedestrian flows. The landscaping project also provides for the renovation of the bus stop. The monument to Heroes of the Soviet power and the monument to the Unknown Soldier will be remained. </p>
