A car will be drawn among citizens who vote
The elections of deputies to the State Council of Tatarstan in the seventh convocation will take place on September 8. Kazan residents can vote at 463 polling stations, 28 of them are located in temporary residences. Fairs will be organized at 170 sites, and children's activities will be held at another 20. Citizens who vote will be able to use public transportation for free, as well as attend a festival at the Kazan Family Center, and win a car.
“We got used to the fact that our elections are well-organized. The high voting turnout shows the responsibility of residents. Through their participation, they demonstrate confidence in the Republic, the Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, the government, and the State Council. I encourage you to exercise your right and vote for deputies to the State Council who will represent the city's interests in parliament. Come to the polls!”- the Mayor said.
In the capital of Tatarstan, there are almost 927 thousand voters, of whom over 5 thousand will vote for the first time.
The voters will have two lists: one to vote for a single-member district (there are 16 in the city), the second for a party list. In Kazan, 84 candidates have been nominated for single-member districts, of which 73 have been registered. “If you are voting outside your constituency, you will only be able to vote for the republican list,”- the speaker said.
Polling stations have been equipped with all necessary equipment, nineteen of them will use automated ballot processing systems. Site inspections have been completed in all districts of the city.
Shops with food and household chemicals will be equipped at 170 polling stations, with prices up to 20% lower than in retail stores. An interactive program with entertainers, master classes, games, and relay races will be held for young residents of Kazan at twenty polling stations.
The citizens who voted will have an opportunity to participate in the contest by taking a picture at the polling station and posting it on the VKontakte social network with the hashtags. Different prizes will be raffled off among the participants, and the main prize will be a car.
All those who voted will be given bracelets, which provide free public transport and entrance to the festival at the Kazan Family Center.
