<p> The Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin handed over the Gazelle Next vehicle to the humanitarian organization, which operates in Derbyshki. This new vehicle will allow for faster delivery of aid and increase the number of trips. The keys were handed over to the head of the organization Yevgeny Kotsar at the Said Galiev recreation center. </p> <p> Humanitarian organizations in Kazan face a shortage of vehicles for transporting goods to the area of the special military operation. Yevgeny Kotsar and other humanitarian workers personally addressed this request to the Mayor, who visited the charity organization. </p> <p> «We met earlier, and then you expressed the wish on behalf of the volunteers from organizations that support fighters of the special military operation for a car to be used for the delivery of goods. We promised to help. Later, we held the first humanitarian forum, where we agreed on full support and created a coordinating council, which you joined. So we are handing over the keys to this Gazelle vehicle. Let it be used to help other humanitarian organizations who need to quickly transport goods to the frontline», – said the Mayor of Kazan. </p> <p> The «For Victory! Kazan» Foundation was founded in 2022 and has 80 members. Every day, they weave camouflage nets, sew clothes, collect humanitarian aid, and create trench candles for the fighters. To help the foundation deliver cargo, other volunteer movements have sent activists to the same destinations. Sometimes, the organization rented trucks, which cost a lot of money. </p> <p> The truck will allow to speed up the delivery of humanitarian aid, as well as to increase the volume of shipment. It can carry 4 tons of cargo at once. Other charities can use the truck too. </p> <p> «If there is even more cargo in the future, please let us know. We will provide larger trucks, such as KAMAZ», – the Mayor said. </p> <p> Yevgeny Kotsar expressed gratitude to the Mayor for his support and noted that the car received is very convenient. </p> <p> The nearest delivery of cargo to the area of the special military operation is scheduled for February. Schoolchildren are also helping to collect humanitarian aid, they write letters to the soldiers. Before departure, the vehicle will undergo another technical inspection and then it will go to the frontline with the cargo. </p> <p> «We have agreed to meet later to check in and see how we are doing. Please invite us to the next meeting of the coordinating council so we can discuss what else we can do to help achieve our common goal. I wish you a safe trip! Thank you for your work», – the Mayor said. </p>
