Ilsur Metshin about road repair plans: “It is planned to allocate 5.5 billion rubles”

<p> (KZN.RU, February 28). It is planned to allocate 5.5 billion rubles for the repair of roads in Kazan in 2018, of which 4.65 are for the streets and 1 billion for the yards. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of the city, announced this today at the reporting session of the Kazan City Duma. </p> <p> It is planned to repair 39 roads along the routes of the World Cup-2018 in accordance with the requirements of FIFA and 93 areas of increased concentration of accidents. In addition, the installation of new traffic lights, road signs, safety fences, and speed control bump is provided. The reconstruction and repair of 83 more city streets, sidewalks and 59 streets in settlements are planned. The total repair area will be 1.3 million square meters. </p> <p> The head of the city also reminded that 2017 was unprecedented in terms of repair of roads, 175 streets were repaired. At the same time, the list was formed taking into account the appeals of citizens through the system “People control”. I. Metshin thanked the President of the RT who took part in the session for the allocated funds on behalf of Kazan residents and especially the of settlements. The total amount allocated for this purpose in 2017 is more than 6 billion rubles. </p>
