<p> By the next heating season, a new block-modular boiler house will be put into operation on Tolstogo Street in Kazan. It was built to replace the outdated boiler house of the VKNIIVOLT plant. The new boiler house of Kazenergo JSC will provide heat to a kindergarten, four apartment buildings and three administrative buildings, and the modern energy-efficient equipment will save gas and electricity consumption. </p> <p> The readiness of the facility for commissioning was inspected by the Mayor of the city Ilsur Metshin. The thermal capacity of the new boiler house is 4 MW (two boilers of 2 MW each) or 3.5 Gcal/hour. The facility is automated – this will allow it to work independently reported Yuri Nikonorov, Chief Engineer of Kazenergo JSC. </p> <p> “Almost all the main equipment is manufactured in Russia or friendly countries, without compromising quality and reliability. The equipment is made in Belarusian and our Kazan manufacturers, St. Petersburg boilers, there is equipment from Voronezh,” he said. </p> <p> The installation of the block-modular boiler house was carried out at the manufacturing plant's production base on Kurskaya Street, after which it was divided into separate three-meter components and brought to the site on Tolstogo Street, where they assembled a complete installation. Before that, the territory under the thermal complex was freed from old communications, in particular, electric cables. Then the workers started pouring the foundation. </p> <p> “We systematically pay attention to the issue of providing residents with heat. The boiler room is located in the center of Kazan. Thanks to the Government of the republic for supporting our project. We will continue to modernize boiler rooms in order to meet any frosts,” said the Mayor of Kazan. </p> <p> To ensure uninterrupted operation for the current heating season, Kazenergo has updated more than 41 km of heating and hot water supply networks, upgraded three boiler houses and built two block-modular complexes – one of them on Tolstogo Street. Kazenergo JSC has upgraded 26 boiler houses in recent years. Ilsur Metshin noted that this work will continue. </p>
