I. Metshin: “The issue of infrastructure has been resolved, now the quality of medical services is on the agenda”

<p> (KZN.RU, October 29, Irina Smirnova). An unprecedented program of capital repairs of medical institutions continues in Kazan. Today, the main issue on the agenda for medical institutions of the city is the quality and cost of medical services. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, expressed such an opinion on the Business Monday. </p> <p> </p> <p> The progress of the program, which started last year, was reported to the meeting by Ilnur Khalfiev, the head of the Health Department of the Ministry of Health of the RT for Kazan. He said that as part of the modernization of the primary healthcare network, 52 buildings of outpatient facilities underwent a major overhaul in 2017. 1 billion 348.5 million rubles was allocated fr om the budget of the RT for it. In 2018, the overhaul was continued at 16 health facilities: 5 women clinics at 6 sites, 6 polyclinics of republican specialized institutions, 1 children's polyclinic, and 3 city polyclinics. </p> <p> </p> <p> More than 180 million rubles were allocated for overhaul from the republican budget this year. “Thus, 90% of Kazan’s primary healthcare network facilities will be repaired”, said I. Khalfiev. </p> <p> </p> <p> Today, 5 out of 16 planned facilities have been delivered after major repairs. The work continues at 11 sites. According to I. Khalfiev, the approximate completion date of seven objects is mid-November 2018, 4 objects are planned to be done before the end of December of this year. </p> <p> </p> <p> After the overhaul in medical organizations is completed, new equipment is installed. The amount of equipment purchased in 2017 is 264.2 million rubles, in 2018 93.3 million rubles. </p> <p> </p> <p> Offices of a general practitioner are opened to increase the availability of medical care in the settlements of the city. The office of the general practitioner and pediatrician in Voznesenskoe Settlement has been built and is already open. A similar construction is being carried out in Salmachi wh ere residents of nearby settlements will be able to apply for primary healthcare. </p> <p> </p> <p> Ilnur Khalfiev also noted that one of the main tasks of city health is the organization of medical offices in new-buildings. Thus, today, the work is underway to organize the office of a doctor and pediatrician in the residential complex “Salavat Cupere”. It is assumed that it will open in December of this year. A similar office is to be located in the residential complex “Solnechny Gorod”. Currently, the work is underway on drawing up design and estimate documentation. </p> <p> </p> <p> Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, noted that a republican program for the overhaul of primary healthcare institutions has been implemented in Kazan for two years. “The program is unprecedented. This is a long-awaited solution.
