The mayor of Kazan awarded scholarships to 70 talented students, students and postgraduates.
Today, the ceremony of awarding personal scholarships of the mayor of Kazan was held in the City Hall for the 25th time. Ilsur Metshin awarded 70 talented and promising young people of Kazan.
“I am pleased to see so many young faces in the Kazan City Hall,” Ilsur Metshin addressed the youth. – Today we traditionally gathered to award the most talented and hardworking school students, as well as students and postgraduates of the famous educational institutions of the Republic. You can be called the intellectual and creative elite of the city.” The mayor emphasized that there are very young Kazan citizens in attendance -pupils of music and art schools. “At such a young age, success is a reason for the pride of your parents and teachers. I hope that here there are future artists, architects, musicians and vocalists. All those who will glorify our country, the Republic and Kazan with their creativity”, - the mayor of Kazan addressed the children and awarded a scholarship for creative achievements to 30 students.
This year the scholarship award is held for the 25th time. Every year not only the number of applications increases, but also their quality, I.Metshin noted. 209 applications were submitted to the jury. After the expert evaluation, only 85 were qualified for the intramural stage.
“I would like to express my gratitude to the expert Council of the contest, they face not an easy task to choose the best of the best”, - I.Metshin said. So, according to the results, 40 best works were determined. 14 graduate students received scholarships in the amount of 30 thousand rubles, 24 university students - 20 thousand rubles and 2 college students were rewarded by scholarships in the amount of 10 thousand rubles.
“I always study the works of the winners, and every time I admire your dedication and commitment to work for the benefit of people and the city. Thanks to your efforts Kazan is getting better and more comfortable every year, so thank you for the work done. I express my gratitude to your mentors-rectors, principals and professors, scientific supervisors and teachers, you have done a huge work to prepare honorable students”, - I.Metshin addressed the scholars.
On behalf of the students, Natalia Usova, a graduate student of Kazan Medical University, spoke in response. She thanked the mayor for the support of youth projects and the opportunity to acquit themselves well.
