The next meeting of the UCLG- Eurasia will take place on June 26, 2020 in Yakutsk.
President of the Eurasian branch of the world organization “United cities and local governments” (UCLG), mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin held a meeting of the regional Council of the association. The agenda included a report on the activities of the office in 2018-2019, nominations for the World Council and Executive Bureau for the UCLG-Eurasia, issues relating to the holding of the next meeting of the Council regional offices, etc.
During the discussion of candidates for the regional and chief UCLG offices Ilsur Metshin noted that the Eurasian office is ready to work productively and develop related areas. “We know and can do what is required here”, - he stressed.
“A lot of work has been done. Eurasia continues to implement the sustainable development goals. We have chosen the right way-to promote it through the cities of Russia and Kazakhstan. Today we can definitely say that the cities hear us, which means that Eurasia is working well”, - said the Vice-President of the UCLG-Eurasia, head of Astrakhan Alyona Gubanova.
In addition, it was decided to hold the next meeting of the UCLG-Eurasia on June 26, 2020 in Yakutsk.
