I.Metshin inspects the progress of road repair works in the Kirovsky and Novo-Savinovsky districts of Kazan

The head of the city got acquainted with the road works on Tan, Gladilov, Chuikov and Gagarin streets.

The road repair works are underway in Kazan. The scope of work this year is large-scale and covers almost all districts of the city: it is planned to renovate 23 city and 22 village streets, as well as 78 driveways and 4 roads to cottage residences. All work is carried out according to the schedule. Ilsur Metshin inspected the quality of the repair road works in the Kirovsky and Novo-Savinovsky districts.

The central road will be repaired on Tan Street in the village of Zalesny by the end of the week

The first site of the visit was the village of Zalesny, where the central road of the residential area along Tan Street is being repaired. Residents have been waiting for this for a long time, said Valentina Vinogradskaya, chair of the territorial public self-government (TPSG) of the village. She told the Mayor about the need to renovate the road in April at a meeting with representatives of TPSGs at the Moskovsky cultural center. According to her, not only motorists, but also pedestrians complain about the road – there was no sidewalk, which was a danger for the villagers. The head of the city at the April meeting promised to address this issue promptly. To date, the promise is almost fulfilled – the repair of the road is ending, the work has been carried out by 85%.

“This road is our major entrance to the village, it is used by absolutely all residents, - V. Vinogradskaya told the Mayor. – We are glad that you have heard us. All residents of the village are very grateful".

I.Metshin commended the quality of the repair and instructed to complete the work on time. “It is good that there are such active residents who care about their village. We also need to promote the ability to live neighborly among youth, to carefully preserve everything that has been done, - the Mayor said – This year, road repairs cover areas that needed it the most”.

Gladilov and Chuikov streets are being repaired under the national project

Then the Mayor examined the progress of road repairs under the Safe High-quality Roads national project. In total, this year 640 million rubles were allocated for the repair of the street and road network under the national project, Igor Kulyazhev reminded. The sections of 11 streets will be repaired under this project.

One of these sites is the road along Gladilova Street in the Kirovsky district. Here, the work has already been completed by 80%. The total length of the section is 1.1 km.

The third point of the inspection visit was Chuikov Street in the Novo-Savinovsky district, where the section from Korolenko Street to Musina Street with a length of 800 m is being repaired. According to Igor Granfeld, Director General of the contract organization OOO Volgadorstroy, the work began in mid-May. After the repair, the road will become safer-the requirements of the traffic police are taken into account, which will help to eliminate the dangerous section. “We are renovating the existing pavement and adding a separating strip on the site, - the contractor said. - There will be a two-meter-wide strip with railings for safety not allowing jaywalking".

Presently, 15 people and 5 vehicles are involved in the site. Workers are dismantling the old asphalt at the site of the future separating strip to install a side stone. After that, they will start milling the coating, followed by laying layers of asphalt concrete.

The visit ended up at Gagarin Street, where 800 m section from Ibragimova avenue to Korolenko Street is being repaired. The works are completed by 99%, Igor Kulyazhev, deputy head of the Kazan Executive Committee, told I.Metshin.
