The Mayor of Kazan assessed the reconstruction of the cultural center, which is scheduled to open by the end of summer.
(KZN.RU, May 29, Ksenia Shvetsova). Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, inspected the reconstruction of the cultural center “Saidash”, built almost fifty years ago. He noted that the update will allow bringing a new life into the building that has become the highlight of the Sovetsky district. It will make it a full-fledged, modern, comfortable House of Culture. Contractors are planning to complete the reconstruction by the end of the summer.
According to Alexander Pikulov, the executive director of the contracting organization OOO “Vostok-S”, all the main works have been completed. The total percentage of completion is 80%. “We carried out strengthening work, secured all the overlap. We have completed almost all the work on engineering, smoke removal systems, fire extinguishing systems”, said A. Pikulov.
The architects sought to preserve the basic concept of the building when creating a project for the reconstruction of a cultural center. “In the course of the renovation, we make this building multifunctional and convenient. In particular, all the halls on three floors can be isolated for holding various events there”, said designer Regina Suyundukova. “A beautiful yard with cobbled paving will also be created. This is an important building for our city, and we tried to preserve its beauty”.
As before, one of the main decorations of the center will be beautiful stained glass windows. It will create a special atmosphere in the building and also ensure energy efficiency, light and noise protection.
During the inspection, the Mayor inspected the second floor of the building, where it is planned to organize an exhibition complex in the future. “The walls are partially painted black, which will emphasize the exposition”, said R. Suyundukova. “This is also a multifunctional space that can be used for various exhibitions and events”.
The final stage is the works on the creation of a dance studio where ensembles can rehearse. “It will be a gift for participants of the project “Zhiznelyub”. They will come to rehearse and perform”, said Artur Mingazov, the director of the CC “Saidash”. “Pensioners in the Sovetsky district are lively, they have always participated in creative activities, it will be great for them”, agreed I. Metshin.
The most important highlight of the renovated House of Culture will be the opera studio. It will be created on the basis of the center together with Albina Shagimuratova, an Honored Artist of the RF, People’s Artist of the RT, the soloist of Mariinsky Theater. The main decoration of the opera hall will be a bright stained glass panel.
“This is the rare case when the House of Culture turns out after reconstruction better than it was. Everything seems to be in a new way”, noted the Mayor.
A recording studio will be organized on the basis of the center. “All the children will be able to record in the studio, we will give them a CD, organize a concert venue for them”, said the director of the CC “Saidash”.
I. Metshin appreciated this idea. “A recording studio is a short way to the fame of talented performers. If you can’t record your work for a little money, the way to the big heights is closed”.
The head of the city also examined the premises of the theater group with a mobile stage and auditorium and rooms for vocal lessons.
“We will thank the builders later, but I want to say thanks to the architects, constructors and designers right now for the creative work. I remember well how we went here and dreamed that we would someday do major repairs. Such taste, beauty, new technologies. It will be even better than a new House of Culture!” said I. Metshin.
He reminded that the renewal of cultural institutions in Kazan was possible thanks to the republican program. “Thanks to our colleagues from the government, Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, for the program. All these buildings were filled with life. More than 500 people were engaged in “Saidash” and 27 club creative formations worked, but in what conditions? Now, these are actually real Houses of culture”.
The renewal of urban cultural institutions started in 2016 with the reconstruction of two objects. This year, the reconstruction of the houses of culture continues.
Marat Aizatullin, the director of the State Institute of Informatics and Technology, Roman Fathutdinov, the head of the Sovetsky district’s administration, Azat Abzalov, the head of the Department of Culture, and others took part in the inspection.
