<p> This year, 278 apartment buildings will be overhauled in Kazan. Iskander Giniyatullin, Deputy head of the Executive Committee, reported on the progress of overhaul of the housing stock at the Business Monday meeting at the Executive Committee of the city. Kazan Mayor Ilsur Metshin instructed the heads of districts to control the implementation of the program on the daily basis. </p> <p> I.Giniyatullin noted that simultaneously with the start of the overhaul program this year, the next three-year plan for the implementation of the long-term program has also started. It includes 1114 multi-apartment buildings, it is expected to allocate more than 6 billion rubles for this work. </p> <p> This year, 2.26 billion rubles will be allocated for the renovation of 278 apartment buildings. </p> <p> The program of renovation of apartment buildings in Kazan is being implemented simultaneously with the Our yard presidential program. Citizens of 33 houses in addition to overhauled housing will also get yard improvement this year. </p> <p> “Competitions were held on 275 out of 278 apartment buildings included in the program this year. In the three remaining houses, additional procedures are required, since two houses are cultural heritage sites”, - explained I.Giniyatullin. </p> <p> Work has already started in 150 houses, and the overhaul of 16 buildings is almost completed. </p> <p> “This year, the works were postponed. It was caused by the pandemic. Earlier at this time, we have been working at the sites for a long time, but this year the schedule has changed, – said the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin. – However, we cannot prolong the construction season, the program must be implemented”. The Mayor instructed the heads of districts to control this work on a daily basis and make every effort to complete it on time. </p> <p> “The repair of standard housing has always been much easier than the cultural heritage sites, so the competition for them is arranged under special requirements. The work performed here are not covered by the standard list – I.Metshin summarized – However, in apartment buildings there are many different hidden problems as well. It is not possible to predict them in advance when designing. Never the less, Tatarstan Ministry of Finance and Ministry of construction understand the issues. Therefore, solutions have been found here as well”. </p>
