During the year, about 40 thousand Kazan schoolchildren will go to children's camps. 15150 children will attend summer camps, Airat Faizov, the chairman of the Committee on Children and Youth Affairs, said this at the Business Monday. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, noted the importance of the republican program for the overhaul of suburban children's camps and marked that Kazan especially needs it. </p> <p> </p> <p> This year, the total amount of funding for the summer children's holiday from the budget of the republic will be about 208 million rubles. The reconstruction of the camp “Molodezhny” in the village of Berezovka in the Vysokogorsky district began due to means of capital republic repair of the camps. This is one of the largest municipal camps in Kazan. According to A. Faizov, the camp will operate in a year-round mode after the renovation, it will accommodate 400 children at a time. </p> <p> </p> <p> 27 million rubles were allocated additionally for the overhaul and renovation of the material and technical base of the camps this year. “For the first time in recent years, one building for 30 people in the Gagarin camp has been overhauled by own means and two new summer houses for 80 people have been delivered in Zarechie. We plan to continue this work”, A .Faizov noted in his report. In addition, the residential buildings and canteens in the camps “Vostok”, the Gagarin, Sputnik, Beryozka, Pioneriya Tatarstan, and Narmonka were repaired. </p> <p> </p> <p> The parental payment for camp remained at the level of the previous year and averages 30% of the actual cost of the voucher. So, the cost of the profile shift for 18 days starts from 4000 rubles depending on the camp, the full cost of the tour is about 16 thousand rubles. </p> <p> </p> <p> Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, noted that the situation with children's camps in the neighboring regions differs significantly from Kazan. There are no camps in the ownership of the municipality or the region. Therefore it is necessary to coordinate shifts, major repairs and other issues with private owners. The special attention is paid to this in the capital of Tatarstan. The repair and condition of the camps are under constant control of the municipality. “It is important that the camps are preserved in our infrastructure. Thanks to the President of Tatarstan that made a decision on the republican program for overhauling suburban camps. Kazan needs it, because many of the institutions are more than half a century years old and they have not been renovated for decades”, said I. Metshin. “Plus this year we will have additional 10 million rubles plus to the 17 million in the budget of the city for capital repairs of the camps. We hope that all this will affect the quality of our children recreation”. </p> <p> </p> <p> For today, the temporary staff of children's health camps is fully staffed, said A. Faizov. The personnel and the children coming to the camp should pass special training: briefings on safety rules in the camp, on the procedure for dealing with emergencies, on fire safety, and others. In total, 5.8 million rubles have been allocated from the municipal budget to ensure the safety of camps this year. These funds will be directed to the establishment of video surveillance around the perimeter of four camps: “Zarechie”, “Novo-Yudino”, “Sputnik”, and the Gagarin. </p> <p> </p> <p> Disinfestation and deratization work is conducted in the camps now. According to A. Faizov, on-site inspections of specialists of the Hygiene and Epidemiology Center of the RT will continue to assess the camps for compliance with sanitary and epidemiological requirements and obtain expertise for the opening of the camps during this week. In total, 3 out of 12 camps have been verified for today. </p>
