<p> «This is an example of how to create such cozy, beautiful and comfortable spaces by joint efforts with the support of the federal government, the republic, Sibur and, of course, with the initiative of active citizens,»- said the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin. </p> <p> The landscaping work on the second part was carried out at the central area of the boulevard, from the sports ground to the lake, which was completely restored. </p> <p> Previously, this area was an abandoned swamp, but now has a beautiful walking area. With the support of Sibur, extensive work has been done here to restore the ecosystem of the swamp. The territory has been landscaped with trees, shrubs, and perennials. In the future, a footpath will be built around the lake for residents to walk, as well as a bike path for children with special needs. </p> <p> The SIBUR eco-pavilion will be located in the center of the boulevard. </p> <p> The pavilion will host lectures, environmental workshops, and community meetings. There will be also a bike rental service at the pavilion, operated by the NGO Good Kazan, which is designed for children with cerebral palsy. </p>
