I.Metshin: «Cleanness, improvement and ecology of Kazan will be always a priority for us»

<p> (KZN.RU, April 1, Ksenia Shvetsova). Today the two-month spring period for sanitary cleaning of the city started in Kazan. It will last until May 31. During this time the citizens will be able to participate in event on cleaning of parks, squares, yards and other social spaces, and on April 27 everyone will be able to join to the citywide subbotnik. Igor Kulyazhev, the deputy head of the Executive Committee and the chairman of the Committee for External Improvement, told about it today at the Business Monday. </p> <p> The events are held every year in order to clean the city up minter mud and dust, and to prepare it for summer. The main part of works is executed by the contractors working in the in the field of the Housing and Communal Services and the External Improvement. Traditionally in this area, priority is given to cleaning of city social spaces, forests and coastal zones. So the structural departaments of the Executive Committee will clear the coastal territories of Kazanka river by the Russian-German Switzerland and behind the stadium «Kazan Arena». </p> <p> The specific attention is planned to pay as well to the territories of industrial enterprises, garage co-operatives, buildings, the trade objects, the network of petrol stations and the centres of culture, sports, and others. The whole territory will be cleaned up - ranging from faces and fences to surrounding areas. </p> <p> «It important to attract to this work maximum quantity of citizens, enterprises and organisations», - noted Igor Kulyazhev. It is expected that, as in the last years, no less than 200 thousand citizens and over 4 thousand enterprises and organisations will take part in the two-month period for sanitary cleaning, it is planned to involve about 4 thousand special equipment units. </p> <p> «Everyone can take part in the event, to create an initiative group and to put into order the yard, one or another section of the city», - reminded I.Kulyazhev. The district administrations, the Housing and Communal Services companies, the Committee of External Improvement could be called upon to answer most questions and to assist with various problems of organizational matters including equipment receiving, bags and removal of dust. </p> <p> Ilsur Metshin called the citizens to participate actively in the events of the two-month period for sanitary cleaning and to prepare city for the May holidays. He noted that due to initiative and not indifferent citizens, Kazan is regularly in the top of the cleanest cities of the country. «According to the rating of the website «Domofon», Kazan is on the third place after Moscow and Krasnodar. But it is not reason for pride, but reason to grow and improve the results, - noted the Mayor. - Cleanness, improvement and ecology of Kazan will be always a priority for us. It is an important component of ecological safety of our city and its citizens. The most active participation in subbotniks should be accepted by the employees of the Executive Committee, we must lead by example. Let's just get Kazan cleaned up and meet the May holidays in well-groomed, beautiful, clean city». </p> <p> Last year, more than 1.5 thousand enterprises and 55 thousand people took part in the subbotnik, 400 units of equipment were involved. As a result, 75 public areas of the city were cleaned, 10.5 thousand cubic meters of garbage were taken to landfills. </p> <p>   </p>
