The book “Heroes of Kazan” will be presented to citizens

The book presents archival materials, background and scientific information, memories of veterans and their relatives.

(KZN.RU, May 8). On May 8, the Central Library of Kazan will hold a presentation of the book “Heroes of Kazan”.

The citizens can attend a creative meeting with the authors-compilers of the unique edition. The authors collected historical materials about the heroes, the natives of Kazan and those whose fates were associated with the capital of Tatarstan in the most difficult periods of our city’s history. The book “Heroes of Kazan” is a token of gratitude and admiration to people who have fulfilled their civil and military duty to the end. It presents archival materials, background and scientific information, memories of veterans and their relatives.

The book was issued on the initiative of Ildus Mostyukov, the chairman of the NGO “Heroes of Tatarstan”, a Hero of Socialist Labor, and supported by the Kazan City Hall.

The legendary songs and verses of the war years will be performed by the soloists of the Kazan City Philharmonia in the framework of the presentation. There will be exhibitions-installations “Poster art of the Great Patriotic War”, “Library of the times of the Great Patriotic War”; book thematic exhibitions; demonstration of military newsreels’ documentaries; a series of book-trailers “The best books about the war”.

The presentation will be held at 3 pm at the address: Vishnevsky Street, №10. The admission is free, reports the Department of Culture.
