The opening of an inclusive play park for visually impaired children

In Kazan, an inclusive play park for visually impaired children will be opened on the territory of the rehabilitation center Yardem (Serova Street, №4a). On an opening day, the volunteers of the project “Christmas Caravan” will give New Year's gifts to the wards of the rehabilitation center, as well as hold educational workshops.

Any child can visit the game park for free.

A master class on painting Christmas balls will be held in the eco-center “Dom” in the Gorkinsko-Ometievsky forest. Guests can plunge into the New Year's atmosphere and make gifts to themselves and their loved ones.

The screening of the collection of short films “Difficult Choice”

The first collection of the best short films “Difficult Choice” will be shown in the Kazan House of Actor named after M. Salimzhanov. The program includes dramas and comedy about people who are at a crossroads and stand in front of a difficult choice. The movies became participants and laureates of the largest Russian and international film festivals.

Thus, the Kazan audience will see a half-hour movie of Narkas Iskandarova “Without Rehearsals”, 12-minute “Kofuz” by Irina Bas, 23-minute “Vasya” by Andrey Bushnev, and a 26-minute film by Tatiana Zhukova “Confession of a Misanthropus”.

Within the project “Oh, my guide!”, a professional tour “Be a Lifeguard” will take place. Days of Hungarian cinema are held in the Kazan cinema “Mir”. On December 15, at 12.50, the residents and guests of the city will be shown an animated film by Attila Dargai “Fox Vuk”, based on the tale of the same name.

The residence of creative industries “Shtab” will hold the New Year's “EcoFest”. Citizens will be told the main principles how to live ecologically and not to refuse the available benefits of civilization. Bloggers, volunteers, and founders of environmental organizations will share their experience and knowledge at lectures. Listeners will have examples, infographics, and life stories.

Among other things, visitors of the festival will learn how to start separating waste and overcome the first difficulties, where to bring recycled materials, clothes, and other things they don’t use, how to meet the New Year ecologically, what to do with organics in the city. Also, they will learn how to live ecologically if there are children in the house, how our food influences the environment, what a “green” university is and what opportunities there are for students in the field of ecological initiatives, and much more.

You could apply the “waste-free” principles on practical master classes. Eco-artists and volunteers will learn to make Christmas decorations from thing people usually throw in the trash. The children's area will work for kids, so that they too can join the eco-friendly lifestyle through games and the creation of handicrafts.

At all festival sites, there will be riddles of the quest for solving. It is suitable for those who do not like to sit in the classrooms. Participants will learn how to arrange a separate collection at home, in the office or to organize a city-scale eco-event. They will learn the concepts of “ecological mark” and “Zero waste”. The quest will be held in the form of a game with prizes from the festival organizers.

The EcoFest will end with a screening of the movie “The Bears of Kamchatka. Beginning of life”. The film presents rare footage of the first year of life of brown bear cubs from coming out of a den in spring to autumn hibernation. The film crew spent seven months in the reserve in Kamchatka.

In addition, a fair of eco-friendly products and a healthy food marketplace from shops and cafes of the city will work at the EcoFest.

Charity "Fair Good"

The school “SOlNTSe” (Kavi Nadzhmi, №18) holds a charity fair to raise funds to help animal shelters. The program includes food court, market and exhibition of student handicrafts, musical accompaniment and game store with 17 board games. The fair will end with a screening of short films about animals “Pet Screen Fest”.
