Philipp Kirkorov about the festival “Good Wave”: “A beautiful garden of talented children will grow from the grain sown here”

In the framework of the project, the Russian singer fulfilled the dream of two Krasnodar boys to meet with him.

Within the framework of the project “Good Wave”, Philipp Kirkorov fulfilled the dream of two Krasnodar boys: the orphans Nikolai and Vadim Vorobievs. Today the artist will be one of the participants of the gala concert in Kazan, where the winners of the All-Russian festival will be announced.

“I have already participated in this festival. This year I met with two boys from Krasnodar, they are amazingly talented, and they have been dreaming to meet me. We talked, played music, and I remembered this meeting for the rest of my life, and I think, they will, too”, said the singer at a press conference. “We become younger for the sake of such meetings, for the sake of such minutes, which make it possible to step away from our glamorous and secular evenings and concerts”.

The “festival Good Wave” is held by the Kazan City Hall and the Igor Krutoy Academy of Popular Music with the support of the Government of the RT and the Foundation for Presidential Grants. According to Philipp Kirkorov, it has become a tradition for him to take part in all projects under the guidance of Igor Krutoy. “It is not only our long-term friendship that binds us. It’s impossible not to succumb to Igor’s sincere desire, first of all, not to get past the problems, especially when they concern children. He is always there for his friends and helps with projects”, said the singer. He also noted that they feel at home in Kazan thanks to the hospitality of the city. “The main thing is how children feel here, we will perform for them, communicate with them”, he marked.

Philip Kirkorov noted that a large number of major projects are being implemented under the leadership of Igor Krutoy, such as “Song of the Year”, “New Wave”, and the Eurovision Song Contest. Thanks to the support of friends and non-indifferent people, such as Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, another important project became possible, the festival “Good Wave”. He thanked Ilsur Metshin and Igor Krutoy for this project. “It will take years, and you will realize that the grain sown here has grown into a beautiful garden of talented children who, as adults, will give way to young people, just like they were at one time”, believes the artist.

The festival “Good Wave” was created in 2017 on the initiative of Ilsur Metshin and composer Igor Krutoy. It is a platform for the joint creativity of all children, regardless of the limitations of their physical health. On one stage, wards of orphanages, children left without parental care, children from large and low-income families, children with disabilities, and others show their creative talents.

Today, a festival gala concert with the participation of Russian pop stars is taking place at the KRK “Pyramid”.
