The tour of Kazan “A magic of old streets” was recognized as one of the best city routes at the Russian Tourist Award

<p> The tour of Kazan “A magic of old streets” was among the winners of the competition for the VII Russian Tourist Award “A route of the year” for 2020. The final of the competition was held in early February in Saransk. </p> <p> The tour of the historical part of the city, organized by the Chak-chak Museum, took the third place in the category “Best route in the city”. </p> <p> Two Tatarstan projects were awarded the Grand Prix of the contest: “Mysteries of Kazan – online: a variety of online lectures and online activities” (nominated for “Best online route in the city”) and “the story of a frontline parcel” (nominated for “Best tourism project, dedicated to the 75^th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War”). The project “Mullahs, Merchants and Hipsters. Tatar Sloboda 2.0” was also among the finalists of the award (nomination “The best cultural and educational route”). </p> <p> In total, 442 projects from 62 regions of Russia were submitted for the Russian Tourist Award “Route of the Year” in 2020. Based on the results of the expert evaluation, 300 finalist projects were selected. </p> <p> The Russian “Route of the Year” award has been held since 2014. The final of the competition is organized by the Ministry of Sports, Youth Policy and Tourism of the republic of Mordovia with the information support of Russian Federal Tourism Agency, according to the website of the award. </p>
