18 music schools were provided with pianos, as well as the children's symphonic jazz orchestra.
Over three years, 24.2 million rubles have been allocated for the purchase of musical instruments for Kazan music schools under the Culture national project. This was told to the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin at the summing-up meeting by the head of the Department of Culture Azat Abzalov.
Eighteen music schools were provided with pianos, the children's symphonic jazz orchestra was fully equipped, instruments were renewed at the children's Music School No. 4.
By order of the head of the city, musical instruments worth 10 million rubles were additionally purchased in 2022. Children's art schools were provided with pianos, cellos, psaltery, accordions and domras. It is planned to purchase a harpsichord for children's Music School No. 2.
Last year, renovation was completed at Music Schools No. 1 and No. 2, as well as at the children's art school No. 10. This year, on behalf of the Mayor of Kazan, design and project documentation will be developed for the renovation of other art schools of the city.
For reference, the Tchaikovsky Music School No. 1 was renovated for its 90th anniversary. The building of the school is an object of cultural heritage. An interactive museum was organized here, new musical instruments were purchased for children, and the yard was equipped for chamber concerts. At the festive concert, students and teachers were congratulated by the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin and People's Artists of Russia Denis Matsuev and Konstantin Khabensky.
