<p> Several major sporting events will take place in Kazan in August: Kazan triathlon, the Sports Day and the Kazanysh forum, Orange ball competitions and Ready For Labor and Defense Games. Chairman of the Committee of Physical Culture and Sports of the Executive Committee of the city Linar Garipov informed about the sports program at the Business Monday meeting.<br> </p> <p> The Kazan Triathlon will open a series of sporting events on August 11 and 12. More than one thousand people from 30 regions of Russia will take part in it. </p> <p> Kazan will celebrate the All-Russian Sports Day on August 12. Street basketball, boxing among juniors, sailing, power extreme, beach volleyball and the Ready For Labor and Defense competitions will take place at Uram extreme park. On this day, an extensive program will be prepared for Kazan residents and visitors of the capital of Tatarstan. The All-Russian 3x3 Orange Ball street basketball competitions will bring together the best basketball players of Tatarstan and Kazan. </p> <p> “For the first time in the history of our city, boxing competitions will be held among juniors who will fight for the title of the champion of Kazan. The water area of the Kazanka River will become a venue for sailing competitions, and among the strongest athletes of the Volga region, the Strongman of Kazan will be determined. The players of the professional clubs of the city will compete for the beach volleyball cup,”- Linar Garipov announced the events of the Sports Day. </p> <p> On the same day, Kazan residents will be able to take part in the Ready For Labor and Defense Games. And for pensioners, Scandinavian walking classes are organized on the territory of the Kazan Embankment. </p> <p> In addition, karate, fencing, taekwondo, badminton, curling, judo, and wrestling master classes will take place at the sports festival in Uram Park. Residents can get acquainted with sports venues, find out detailed information about classes and enroll a child in a section. Linar Garipov reminded that morning workouts with experienced fitness instructors and trainers are held for everyone as part of the Sports at Home project. More information is available on the social networks of the project. </p> <p> Kazanysh sports conference will become an important event of the Sports Day, which will be dedicated to the 10^th anniversary of the Universiade. The program of the forum includes speeches by the heads of physical culture and sports associations, a methodological session on sports management. </p>
