D. Fattakhov answered the guests' questions about the readiness of the city to receive fans.

(KZN.RU, May 15). For two days, on May 14 and 15, the delegation of Australia studied Kazan's readiness to receive guests and participants of the FIFA World Cup-2018. One of the final events of the visit was the meeting of Peter John Manwell, the second secretary and consul of the Australian Embassy in Russia, with Damir Fattakhov, the first deputy head of the Kazan Executive Committee.

“Allow me once again to greet you. We are very pleased with your visit, and we hope that staying in Kazan will be not only pleasant, but also useful”, noted Damir Fattakhov when he met the guests. “On June 16, Kazan hosts the first match France-Australia. The first meeting at the Cup is always exciting. I'm sure that systematic interaction, and, of course, today's visit will allow both sides to better understand the peculiarity of holding a specific match”.

The representative of the Australian Embassy explained the purpose of the visit. “Many thanks for your warm greetings and for the special hospitality that we have met on your part in Kazan. Our visit has two goals. The first one is connected with the match, which will be held here with the participation of our team and fans”, he said. “The second one is to get acquainted with Kazan”.

Anna Minaeva, the manager of consular affairs, representatives of the Ministry of Transport and Road Facilities of the RT, the State Committee for Tourism of the RT, the Office of the City Executive Committee, the Tourism and Transport Development Committees, the Department of Health of the Ministry of Health of the RT for Kazan, sports and social projects, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for Kazan, and other agencies involved in the preparation and conduct of the championship, attended the meeting.

Guests were interested in the readiness of the sports and city infrastructure to meet athletes and fans, transportation and medical support, accommodation in hotels and stay in the country. Earlier they visited the city clinical hospital №7, where Australians along with other guests of the city will be able to receive highly qualified medical care. Then they visited the stadium “Kazan Arena”, which will host matches, the Kazan-1 railway station, which is an important transport hub, and the center for the issuance of Fan ID at Bauman Street, №44/8.

The Ambassador was particularly interested in the readiness of the city infrastructure. Damir Fattakhov noted that the urban infrastructure is almost 100% ready. “Kazan holds an international event not for the first time. Last year, for example, the Confederations Cup was held. Thanks to this, our sports facilities, hotels, and catering establishments are ready to receive guests right away”.

Participants of the meeting also discussed the issues of ensuring security during the championship, the registration of guests at the place of stay, the work of the operational headquarters, visa regime, and the restriction of the movement of cars.
