D. Kalinkin: “Open Kazan” is not just icing on the cake, but a working tool”

The project involves a comprehensive reform of the municipal services system with their full transfer to the digital space.

(KZN.RU, January 18, Alena Miroshnichenko). The system “Open Kazan” has helped to change the system of relations between residents and management companies. But like any system, it requires constant attention to meet the growing demands of citizens. Denis Kalinkin, the head of the Kazan Executive Committee, said this commenting on the project’s victory at the All-Russian Competition of Best Practices and Initiatives of Socio-Economic Development of the Regions of the RF at the Business Monday. The results of the competition were summed up in Sochi as part of the work of the Russian Investment Forum-2019.

“We remember how much interest “Open Kazan” aroused in our colleagues from other regions at the start. A number of regions then implemented it. “Open Kazan” is not just icing on the cake, but a working tool that has proven its effectiveness and viability. It helped to change the system of relations between residents and management companies, and in the process, it also solved a number of important tasks. But like any system, it requires constant attention to meet the growing demands of citizens, and most importantly, to continue helping people. Therefore, rejoicing in the victory, we continue to set new tasks and strive to accomplish them”, noted D. Kalinkin

Due to the complex reforming of the municipal services system with full digitalization, it was possible to reduce the terms of service provision, increase labor productivity, consumer satisfaction with the quality of service provision, switch to electronic interaction with republican and federal structures, network companies.

The Kazan project was recognized as the best in the nomination “Creating conditions aimed at the growth of the information technology potential of the region”. Vitaly Mutko, the deputy chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, presented the victory award to Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of Tatarstan.

In total, the list of finalists of the All-Russian Competition of Best Practices and Initiatives of Socio-Economic Development of the Regions of the RF in 2018 included 27 practices from 16 regions of Russia that most closely met the contest criteria and scored the highest average votes in each of the 8 nominations.
