D.Kalinkin on the overhaul of yards: “It is crucial that people see the result”

<p> Today, the head of the Executive Committee of Kazan Denis Kalinkin inspected the progress of complex improvement of the yard of houses № 83, 85, 87 and 89 on Chuikov street. The overhaul started a week ago, and it is planned to complete it by the beginning of September. </p> <p> The nine-storey panel buildings adjacent to the yard were built in the second half of the 80's. Now more than two thousand people live there. The previous improvement of the yard was carried out here about 15 years ago, but this area again requires a comprehensive improvement and was included in the Our yard republican program. </p> <p> Director General of Uyutny Dom LLC Marat Nuriev told the head of the Executive Committee of Kazan Denis Kalinkin that during the works it is planned to renovate the asphalt covering, including pavements, to install a playground with small architectural forms, to replace 57 lighting poles and to install 38 new LED poles. </p> <p> Presently, the asphalt covering is being dismantled in the yard, curbs and a new road covering is being installed. </p> <p> “Thanks to Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov for this outstanding program both for the Kazan yards and for all the yards of Tatarstan. In 5 years, we must renovate all the yards of the city. It means a large-scale work should be done. It is crucial that people are pleased with the result”, - Denis Kalinkin said during the inspection. </p> <p> For information, this year in Kazan, comprehensive improvement of more than 200 yards will be carried out under the Our yard program. It includes the renovation of existing asphalt covering, the expansion of driveways, parking lots, sidewalks, the installation of playgrounds and small architectural forms, as well as installation of external lighting networks. Presently, the renovation of asphalt covering has been completed at 96 sites, and work continues in 85 yards. </p>
