More than 500 volunteers will help organize the “Immortal Regiment” in Kazan

This year, the route of the column remained the same.

(KZN.RU, April 29, Ksenia Shvetsova). More than 500 volunteers will assist in organizing the action “Immortal Regiment”, which will take place in Kazan on Victory Day. Azat Abzalov, the head of the Department of Culture, announced this today at the Business Monday.

The action has become truly nationwide and very significant for residents of the whole country. The number of its participants is increasing every year, noted A. Abzalov. Last year, more than 163 thousand people took part in the march of the “Immortal Regiment” in Kazan.

This year, the route remains the same. The gathering of participants will begin at 1 pm at the intersection of streets Karl Marks and Tolstoy. Then, the regiment will pass along the main streets of the city: Karl Marks Street, through Lobachevsky Street, past the park “Chernoe Ozero”, and along Kremlevskaya Street.

“Representatives of youth public associations of the city will take an active part in the march. Over 500 volunteers will assist in organizing the march”, said A. Abzalov.

The movement of vehicles will be limited on the route of the procession from 10 am to 4 pm.

The Immortal Regiment will complete its march in the Millennium Square.
