New exhibits were added to the collection of the Kazan Kremlin Museum-Reserve fund in 2023: 291 items were purchased at their own expense, and another 295 items were donated to the fund. Among them are samples of archaeology, ethnography and documentary sources.
One of the valuable acquisitions was the publication of the Koran of 1803. It was printed in the printing house of the Imperial Gymnasium in two formats: two-volume and ten-volume designs. Each of them was published of 1000 units.
Another exhibit is a chalice manufactured in 1795. It is a vessel used for the consecration of wine and the taking of Holy Communion. It was made by the master Alexey Orlov from Veliky Ustyug, which is confirmed by the stamp in the upper part of the cup.
Another item is the porcelain statuette “Officer” of the first half of the XIX century, made at the factory of Pyotr Kozlov. The statuette depicts a brave officer of the Russian army in a two-cornered hat with a magnificent mustache.
Today, the collection consists of 22,852 storage units.
