More than 500 Kazan students took part in the action “Plastic Hunter”

<p> (KZN.RU, May 4, Ksenia Shvetsova). An action “Plastic Hunter” was held in the Kazan gymnasium №4. It was attended by more than 500 students of all grades fr om 1 to 9. The children collected and delivered the plastic bottles for further processing. They managed to collect 1640 PET bottles with a volume of 6.5 cubic meters and weighing about 65 kilograms. </p> <p> </p> <p> The action “Plastic Hunter” is aimed at the ecological education of the younger generation and is carried out annually by the OOO “UK ZhKKh of the Moskovsky district”. This year, six schools of the Moskovsky district are planned to participate in the action. The collection has already passed in two of them. 1030 pupils of the school №70 took part in the first action, they collected 2050 PET bottles with a volume of 8 cubic meters and weighing about 80 kilograms. </p> <p> </p> <p> Kseniya Galimova, the engineer of the landscaping department of the OOO “UK ZhKKh of the Moskovsky district”, told that children are told in advance about the conditions of participation in the action and after, they collect plastic bottles and other plastic containers and bring them to schools. In the morning, employees of the management company set up special plastic collection containers in the school hall, wh ere the children put the collected bottles, which are subsequently sent for processing. After that, the collected garbage is counted. “The class that collected the most bottles and took first place, gets tickets to the cinema for all students. Schoolchildren on the second and third places will receive bracelets with the symbolism of the action”, explained Ksenia Galimova. </p> <p> </p> <p> Funds collected from the delivery of PET bottles for processing are sent for improvement of the Moskovsky district. </p>
