Warm and sunny weather has attracted a huge number of citizens to the streets of the city, In total, more than 40 thousand Kazan citizens take part in the cleaning. It is planned that by the end of the day, they will clear the area of 2.5 million square meters. </p> <p> Employees of more than 1300 enterprises and institutions, including employees of the structural units of the Executive Committee, take part in the work. Led by Denis Kalinkin, the head of the Executive Committee, they cleared the territory of Russko-Nemetskaya Schveitsariya today. And the social block of the Executive Committee, together with Rustem Gafarov, the first deputy head of the Executive Committee, cleaned the territory near the stadium “Kazan Arena”. “Today we have 188 people, and we all have collected 415 bags of garbage”, said Natalia Muravchikova, the head experts of the Department for Ensuring the Coordination and Interaction of Social Units. “Kazan is our home. And today we took the opportunity to clean and help keep our big house clean and tidy”. </p> <p> Last year, the subbotnik was in a new format for the first time held with a separate collection of plastic for its further processing. This year, the tradition continued. Everyone who took part in the cleaning was given 2 packages: blue one to collect plastic, black one to collect the rest. </p> <p> “Today, the work is also organized in parks and squares of the city. It is planned to clean more than 1700 yards”, said Albert Ibrahimov, the deputy chairman of the Committee for External Improvement. “The weather is great today, so we hope that the residents of our city will work with pleasure and make the city cleaner”. </p> <p> In total, more than 80 places of mass cleaning are organized in Kazan today. </p>
