Sergey Ivanov, the Chairman of the State Committee of RT for Tourism, announced such preliminary results of the championship today in the city's press center.
The average check was 37 thousand rubles, it was 40% higher for foreign guests than Russian ones. The Chairman of the State Committee for Tourism of the RT drew attention to the fact that the amount of tourists' expenditures at the World Cup is higher than at previous competitions held in Kazan. "This is a different audience. People who come to the World Cup are economically prosperous, well cared-for. The trip to Russia cost from 3-4 to 10-12 thousand dollars per person for any of them”, said S. Ivanov.
58% of the fans were Russian, 42% – foreign. According to the poll, most fans who visited Kazan are men aged 24-34. More often they flew in an airplane in the company of friends and stayed in a hotel or hostel for three days.
Also, the survey showed that most of the guests were satisfied with the visit to Kazan. 75% of fans rated the stay in the city at 10 points. The number of those who were satisfied with Kazan was 95% taking into account those who put 8-9 points. “Also, about 95% of fans who visited Kazan will recommend their relatives and friends to visit the republic, about 50% plan to come again, with family and friends, as tourists”, said S. Ivanov.

Sergey Ivanov noted that the number of Australian fans who visited the match in Kazan was a surprise one. In addition, the city was recently visited by bikers from Oman, who were surprised by the hospitality of the city and a sense of safety.
