More than 1260 kg of Christmas trees, collected by Kazan citizens, went for feeding goats

The citizens could bring trees to the reception points.

(KZN.RU, February 6). More than 1260 kg of Christmas trees were collected in Kazan within the framework of the action, which started after the January holidays. The collection of New Year trees was organized in two reception points: on Adel Kutuy Street and in the territory of one of the shopping centers at Prospect Pobedy. On February 3, the green cargo went to one of the farms in Shelanga village, Verkhneuslonsky district, where it will be used as a vitamin delicacy for goats.

Animals are deprived of green feed in winter so the living trees came at an opportune time. Goats are happy to chew needles and gnaw the bark. A farmer grinds the rest in the flour. The resulting mixture is used as a vitamin supplement for poultry: ducks, chickens, and geese.

The action to collect Christmas trees was held in Kazan for the second time. Last year, 163 trees were sent to Shelanga. This year, there turned out to be many times more people wishing to take part in the action. The ministers of the church of St. Knyaz Alexander Nevsky were among them. They handed over the Christmas trees remaining at the Christmas celebration from several churches, reports the press service of the Volga Environmental Company.
