More than 10 thousand people to participate at the Kazan Marathon

The most popular distance is the half marathon – 21.1 km

10,242 athletes have already registered to participate at the 10th Kazan Marathon. The largest number of applicants are from Moscow and the Moscow region- 2,397. The organizers expect about 30 thousand participants from 11 countries.

Residents of Naberezhnye Chelny, Almetyevsk, Nizhnekamsk and Zelenodolsk also want to participate in the Marathon - 1,863 people have registered from Tatarstan.

The most popular distance is the half marathon – 21.1 km. 3,230 athletes have registered for it. Slightly less – 3,054 participants – want to run 10 km. And 2,367 people decided to participate in the marathon distance (42.2 km).

The organizers plan to hold the biggest children's race in the country with participation of about 5,000 young athletes.

Representatives of St. Petersburg, Sverdlovsk region, Bashkortostan and other regions of the Volga region will come to the Kazan Marathon. Athletes from Kazakhstan, Belarus, Australia, Vanuatu, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Hungary and Uzbekistan are expected among foreign athletes.

The marathon will take place on May 11-12. The launch will take place near the Kazan Kremlin.
