Businessmen of Kazan discussed the main problems in their work during the strategic session

The event in a new format with the participation of SME representatives was organized by the Committee for Economic Development of Kazan.

(KZN.RU, May 25, Ekaterina Vislavskaya). Representatives of the small and medium business of Kazan gathered yesterday in the techno-polis “Khimgrad” to discuss the main problems on the way of entrepreneurship development and to offer new, most effective ways to solve them. The meeting in the format of a session with the participation of a business trainer was organized by the Committee for Economic Development of the Kazan Executive Committee under the leadership of Ildar Shakirov, the deputy head of the Executive Committee. Timur Nagumanov, the authorized representative under the President for Entrepreneurs Rights, also took part in it.

“On the eve of the forthcoming Day of Entrepreneurship, we wanted to organize our meeting in a slightly different format”, said Ildar Shakirov opening the event. “During the training, we will be able to find out what barriers are standing in your way to the implementation and development of your current business. We are even more interested in your opinion on how to establish a productive dialogue that is convenient for both sides”.

33 representatives of small and medium business came to the meeting. They were divided into 4 groups and started to work. First of all, the session participants had to determine what results the business of Kazan as a whole should achieve by 2021. After that, they had to name the barriers to their achievement and to propose their solution during the discussion. They had about three hours for discussion. “One of the tasks of the session is the formation of an entrepreneurial community. Part of the solutions entrepreneurs are able to find be themselves, uniting efforts”, explained Galina Mashtakova, the moderator of the discussion.

The discussion was productive. Representatives of the light and food industries, construction business, management companies in the field of housing and communal services and manufacturers of building materials were united by one goal. It is to find ways to remove restrictions that prevent them from earning the maximum profit and develop their business. The indicated problems were, for example, lack of additional financial resources in the opening of the business. Many problems were solved on the spot. For example, entrepreneurs who had not heard about concrete measures to support the business until this day learned about them from their colleagues. In particular, entrepreneurs were reminded of the programs of concessional lending and preferential rent. Many exchanged contacts in order to maintain business ties and also to ask advice from more experienced colleagues.

Venera Kamalova, the deputy business-ombudsman and the chief expert of the Council on Entrepreneurship under the President of the RT, and representatives of the techno-polis “Khimgrad” also attended the event. The result of the meeting was a list of problem points and ways to solve them, developed by entrepreneurs during the discussion. It will be taken as a basis for further work to improve the interaction of the Executive Committee with small and medium-sized businesses in Kazan, including the formation of support measures and new regulatory documents.
