A TV host spoke about her work, in which she gathered culinary recipes from around the world and stories of her encounters with outstanding people
Today, Alla Krutaya, a TV host and sister of the famous composer Igor Krutoy, presented her latest book, «Letters from Afar», at the Kazan City Hall. She collected the finest recipes of culinary delights from around the world and personal memories of encounters with outstanding people. The book is written in an epistolary style: Alla Krutaya addressed letters “from the past to the future” to her beloved granddaughter, Masha.
«I adore your city so much. It's amazing, and people are incredibly hospitable. They treated me with love and care, and I don't believe that a presentation could have gone so well in another city. Also, of course, I'm incredibly grateful to Kazan, where I enjoy every second of my time here», - Alla Krutaya shared.
Her book is based on letters about love for family and friends, delicious food and distant countries, dreams and hopes. The author has long been recording moments of life on paper that at first seemed not so important but eventually became especially valuable.
The idea for «Letters from Afar» came during the pandemic. Alla Krutaya enjoyed cooking at home and shared recipes on social media. They quickly became popular among her followers, who encouraged her to open a restaurant. However, the TV host decided to write a book.
The author also presented her other work, an autobiographical collection «Flight of a Lifetime». Published in 2022, the book is based on her impressions of a journey from New York to Jurmala for the New Wave Festival. Alla Krutaya describes her encounters and friendships with remarkable people, each of which has had a significant impact on her life.
The author noted that she is currently working on her third book - a novel. As of now, six chapters have been completed. The novel will tell the story of a woman on the eve of her 50th birthday.
«This is a challenging time for women, as at some point, it may seem that life is coming to an end, that the butterflies in our souls will never flutter again, and that the sun will no longer shine as brightly. However, every age has its own unique charm», - the author said.
