Actor Valery Barinov will read an excerpt from the novel The Master and Margarita in Kazan

Music Festival Rachmaninoff. The Facets will take place in Kazan for the first time from October 13 to December 4.

The festival will open on October 13 with a concert of chamber and vocal music. Selected romances by S. Rachmaninoff, his cycle to verses by A. Blok and Francesca's aria from the opera Francesca da Rimini, as well as works by N. Rimsky-Korsakov and I. Stravinsky will be performed at S. Saidashev Hall.

The premiere of the literary and musical performance “The Master and Margarita. Symphonic Dances” will be presented on October 30. The piano duet of Pyotr Laul and Pavel Raikerus from St. Petersburg will be responsible for the musical accompaniment. And fragments of the novel will be read by the People's Artist of Russia, theater and film actor Valery Barinov.

Concert “Sketches-paintings. Sand Meditation” performed by young musicians-graduates and teachers of the Kazan State Conservatory named after N. Zhiganov will be held on November 13.

The music festival will end on December 4. The choir of the Tatar Opera and Ballet Theater named after M.Jalil will perform the full version of S. Rachmaninoff's All-Night Vigil. The concert will be preceded by a performance by Yaroslav Timofeyev, lecturer of the Moscow Philharmonic, musicologist, Candidate of Art History.
