A poetry festival and “Book-Fest” will be on the Day of the Russian language.
(KZN.RU, June 5). On June 6, Kazan will celebrate the Day of the Russian language and the 220th birth anniversary of Alexander Pushkin. The solemn laying of flowers to the monument of A. Pushkin, the poetry festival and the “Book-Fest” will take place on this day.
The main celebrations will traditionally be held at the monument to Alexander Pushkin near the Tatar Academic State Opera and Ballet Theater named after Musa Jalil. At 10.30 am, a poetry festival will begin there, at which famous poets and writers of the republic will speak. At 12.30 pm, flowers will be laid at the monument.
The celebration of the Day of the Russian language will continue in the Opera and Ballet Theater. At 1 pm, a concert will start with the participation of Tatarstan artists.
On June 6, the VI festival “Book-Fest” will take place in Lyadskoy Garden. The program includes exhibitions, speeches of famous writers, reading original texts at the “free microphone”, contests, games, performances, and much more.
