53% of Tatarstan recruits will be sent to the service in the Land Forces

<p> (KZN.RU, April 1, Alena Miroshnichenko). About 18 thousand Russian citizens aged of 18 to 27 from the Republic Tatarstan and its capital city will be recruited for spring recruitment. More than 3400 persons will be sent to the service, 53% will be directed to the Land Forces. Sergey Pogodin, the military commissar of the RT, told about the military service in April-July 2019 in the RT. </p> <p> The military service will last during 1 year, and people with senior secondary vocational education have a choice - 1 year of compulsory military service or 2-3 years of military service under contract. Innovation became an opportunity to delay of service for citizens who reached 18-year age. They will be able to service after study in bachelors, masters, and specialists programs, as well as senior secondary vocational educational program. Earlier it was accessible only for those who were 18 years old after leaving school. Send-offs of recruits from assembly point will start on April 22. </p> <p> 53% of the recruits will be sent to the service in the Land Forces, 9%, to Air Space Forces, 8% to navy fleet, Strategic Rocket Forces and Airborne Unit and parts of special forces, 6% to National Guard, 2% to the General Directoratethe of the Ministry of Defence's Central Department, and 6% to other divisions. </p> <p> The conscripts from Kazan and regions of the RT will be part of the Baltic military navy, the Presidential and Preobrazhensky regiments in Moscow. So, this year it is planned to send there 10 and 20 republic inhabitants respectively. </p> <p> Also Sergey Pogodin told about the compulsory military service and the alternative civilian service. </p> <p> We will remind in Kazan 4532 persons are sent to conscription centres, more than 3000 of them have the right to a deferment.during study in an institution of higher education, more than 850 citizens are for other reasons. 660 persons will be sent to the service in the Armed Forces. </p>
