The premiere of the play “Enchanted by the Dance” will be held at the Kamal Theater on December 21 and 22

The musical comedy resembles an Indian film with a dramatic plot, dances and songs.

On December 21 and 22, the premiere of the play “Enchanted by the Dance” directed by the director and playwright Ilgiz Zainiev will be held on the big stage of the Kamal Theater in Kazan. The staging is full of dance numbers, songs and romantic scenes. On the eve of the premiere, a press performance was held for representatives of the city and republican media.

The performance “Enchanted by the Dance” was written thanks to the creative evening in honor of the 50th anniversary of Ildus Gabdrakhmanov, a People Artist of the RT. Artists of the Kamal Theater staged a small performance about a choreographer, a dancer who went to find his happiness, and then returned to his hometown. The venture was a success. Ildus Gabdrakhmanov appreciated the idea and asked Ilgiz Zayniev, a playwright and director, to add a number of scenes and strengthen the plot, so that the audience could see the performance on the big stage.

The plot is very simple: after 18 years, the dancer, obsessed with the love of art, returns from Moscow to his native city. There, he meets his old love and a new generation of choreographers. Having passed the hard way to the heart of his beloved, the main character understands his true purpose and reconsiders his vision of life.

The author’s deep thoughts are revealed not only with the help of talented acting, but also through body language. The production includes many dances. Thus, a musical comedy acquires the features of an Indian film with a dramatic plot, a lot of dances and songs.

As the actors said, such an unusual format of the performance brings to a new level and revealing yourself in a new role. Some artists learn the dances easily. For example, one of the main actors Artur Shaidullin, an artist of the Kamal Theater, has been involved in modern dance for about 8 years.

“I don’t consider myself to be a professional dancer, but I like moving to rhythmic music. For this performance, I had to master a new direction in the dance “hip-hop”. For two months, I was practicing with professional choreographers of the school-studio “Todes”. It was an unusual experiment, I think, I will continue to master this style”, said Artur Shaidullin.

Artists not only dance, but also sing. The lyrics by poet Reseda Gubaeva with the music by Elmir Nizamov, a composer, the winner of the M. Jalil Prize, will be performed on the stage.

The cast of the play is also impressive. People Artists of the RT play on the stage, such as Ildus Gabdrakhmanov, Iltazar Mukhamatgaliev, Lyutsiya Khamitova, Iskander Khairullin, Radik Bariev, Ilsiya Tukhvatullina, and many others.

Spectators will be able to see the play even on the days of the New Year holidays. The performance will be shown on the stage of the Kamal Theater on January 2 and 3.
