The State Museum of Fine Arts of the RT invites to the “Night of Museums” on May 19

The theme of the action this year is “Masterpieces from the Reserves”.

(KZN.RU, May 11). On May 19, the action “Night of Museums-2018” in the State Museum of Fine Arts of the RT will be held on two sites: in the main building and the gallery “Khazine”. The theme of the action is “Masterpieces fr om the Reserves”.

The main building of the Museum will wait for visitors from 10 am to midnight. An interactive class for children will begin at 1 pm with the master class “Journey to the Picture”. At 2 pm, young visitors are invited to a musical fairy tale from the students of the Kazan Theater School. It is about toys that were not needed and they were taken to the attic.

The participants of the action will be offered to get acquainted with the backstage of museum life. At 3 pm, there will be an excursion, at which the best graphic works of Ivan Shishkin from the museum collection will be presented. The works of Ilya Repin, not included in the permanent exhibition, will leave the store in an hour after that. At 6 pm, Anna Kalina, the museum's researcher, will tell about the masterpieces of Old Russian art, hidden from the eyes of visitors in the storerooms. At 8 pm, Kazan citizens are invited to the tour “Small masterpieces of a large collection” on the exposition of Russian art of the XVIth-XIXth centuries from the collection of the museum.

Visitors will enjoy a diverse musical program on that evening. At 5 pm, arias from operas, romances, and songs of Russian and foreign composers will be performed by Elza Islamova, the soloist of the Academy of Young Opera Singers of the Mariinsky Theater, and Artur Islamov, the soloist of the Opera and Ballet Theater named after M. Jalil. At 7 pm, the quartet of the baroque chamber ensemble “Nobilis” will play the rare works of Russian composers at the concert “And the Angels Spoke about God, Eternity, and Love...”. At 9 pm, Julia Panfilova, the artist of the Opera and Ballet Theater, laureate of international competitions and festivals, will play Russian romances on the guitar.

The “Night of Museums” in the main building will end with a tour of the permanent exhibition wh ere participants will be told the history of the museum's collection.

On the day of the action, the gallery “Khazine” will be open from 10 am to 10 pm. The audience will be presented with a large-scale exhibition project “After Thaw. The fine arts of the 1970-80s (from the collections of the Museum of Fine Arts)”. The art of Tatarstan will be shown in the context of the all-Soviet one. Many works are shown for the first time.

Little gallery visitors will be offered to take part in creating a collective painting and leave their artistic autograph on their large canvas in colors.

The exhibition “Two geniuses of dance” dedicated to ballet dancers Rudolf Nuriev and Mikhail Baryshnikov will present screenings of films about Russian ballet. A creative meeting with the Nailya Kumisnikova, the master of leather mosaics will take place at 1 pm at the exhibition of her works.

At 4 pm, laureates of musical competitions and young performers will perform at the gala concert of the festival of contemporary academic art “Spectrum Expansion”, reports the State Museum of Fine Arts of the RT.
