(KZN.RU, June 26). The main part of the Russian team at the WorldSkills Championship in Kazan includes 14 Tatarstan residents. In total, 63 young experts will represent the country at the competitions.
The Russian national team consisted of 14 girls and 49 boys at the age of 18 to 25 years old. These are representatives of the Arkhangelsk, Bryansk, Volgograd, Voronezh, Kostroma, Kurgan, Leningrad, Lipetsk, Novosibirsk, Orenburg, Oryol, Ryazan, Samara, Sverdlovsk, Tula, Tyumen, Ulyanovsk, Chelyabinsk and Yaroslavl Oblasts, Krasnodar and Krasnoyarsky Krais, Republics of Bashkortostan, Tatarstan, abd Chuvashia, and Moscow.
Young professionals will act on 56 competencies of the main list of WorldSkills International in services, transport and logistics, industrial production, information technology, art and design, construction.
The Russian participants will be accompanied by 56 international experts from other countries of the world who will evaluate participants. In four days, the national team will complete tasks developed by the international expert community and leading companies in the industry to assess professionalism.
WorldSkills Kazan 2019 finalists will be awarded golden, silver and bronze medals at the closing ceremony on August 27 at the “Kazan Arena”. Those who score at least 700 points will be awarded the distinctive WorldSkills Championship Award, a medallion for professionalism, which confirms the professional recognition of the championship participant by the international community, reports the Young Professionals Union (Worldskills Russia).
Russian participants who will achieve high results, as well as their experts will be awarded cash prizes of up to 1 million rubles. 300 thousand rubles will be presented to the participants for the “Medallion for Professionalism”, 400 thousand rubles for the bronze medal, 500 thousand rubles for the silver medal, and 1 million rubles for the golden medal.
The WorldSkills Kazan 2019 will be held in the capital of Tatarstan from 22 to 27 of August. About 1500 contestants from 69 countries of the world will compete in 56 competencies. The championship will be the largest international event in Russia in 2019.
