On July 11, the festival “JAZZ in the Kremlin with Olga Skepner” starts in Kazan
Musicians and bands from Russia, Germany, and the USA will perform.
(KZN.RU, June 27). On July 11, the 13th season of the festival “JAZZ in the Kremlin with Olga Skepner” will open in Kazan. Jazz evenings in the Cannon Yard of the Kazan Kremlin will be held weekly from July 11 to August 22. The festival program includes 7 concerts, the participants of which will be musicians and bands from Russia, Germany, and the USA.
On July 11, Quinn Devo, an American jazz-soul singer and guitarist, will perform at the opening of the festival. The musician has been working on the American scene for many years. He will give a concert in Kazan as part of a big tour in Russia.
The evening of July 18 will be dedicated to the creative tandem of legendary musicians: Arkady Shilkoper, horn player, multi-instrumentalist, recognized as the best performer in the world on the Alpine horn, (Germany), and Vadim Neselovsky, world-famous pianist, who will arrive for the first time to the festival (USA).
On July 25, the festival will continue with a concert Horsepower. And on August 1, performances of the bands “K.I.M.M” and “ChetMen” will take place within the framework of the festival.
On August 6, the Russian jazz singer Olga Skepner will perform. On August 15, there will be a big anniversary concert by Evgeny Borets, one of the leading composers and arrangers of the Russian jazz scene, an outstanding jazz pianist.
On August 22, the Vintskevich-Andrianov Trio, the famous American jazz tenor saxophonist Eric Alexander, and the quartet of Alexey Podymkin will perform at the closing of the festival.
The beginning of the concerts is scheduled for 7 pm. The tickets for the festival are already on sale, according to the organizers.
“JAZZ in the Kremlin with Olga Skepner” is an annual open-air music festival held since 2007. Until 2016, it was implemented in the park of the Museum of Fine Arts. In 2017, it moved to the Kazan Kremlin (Cannon Yard).
