One hundred employees of the Kazan Executive Committee take part in the Tatar Dictation campaign

Journalist Ildar Kiyamov read an excerpt of the novel by Kaum Nasyri

The All-Russian campaign “The Tatar Dictation” started today, and the Kazan Executive Committee joined it. About 100 employees of the executive committee tested their knowledge of spelling and punctuation of the Tatar language. The text for writing – an excerpt from the work by Kayum Nasyri – was read by journalist and TV host Ildar Kiyamov. Guzel Sagitova, Vice Mayor of Kazan, welcomed the participants and expressed gratitude for their participation in the event: “According to the annual tradition, we gather here again in this hall. The Tatar Dictation is more than just writing a text; for us, it is a way to show respect for our native language. I want to thank everyone who came.” The participants wrote an excerpt from the novel by Kaum Nasyri, which was read by journalist and TV host Ildar Kiyamov. The number of participants increases every year. Last year, as many as 70 employees of the Executive Committee of the city tested their knowledge of the spelling and punctuation rules of the Tatar language. Fanis Ziganshin, a People's Artist of Tatarstan and actor of the Kamal Theatre, read an excerpt from the novel by writer Sharif Kamal to the audience.
