On May 1, a holiday “Breakfast of the tourist” will take place in the Staro-Tatarskaya Sloboda

Guests and residents of Kazan will listen to the military band, poems of Tatar poets, watch vivid national dances and try Tatar dishes.

(KZN.RU, April 29, Alina Berezhnaya). On May 1, the summer tourist season opens in the Staro-Tatarskaya Sloboda. The holiday “Breakfast of the tourist” will take place on this day for guests and residents of Kazan. Marat Usmanov, the prefect of the territory “Stary Gorod”, spoke about the program of events today at the Business Monday.

The festive event will begin at 1 pm. A military band will perform on the established summer stage on Mardzhani Street. Also, well-known figures of the Union of Writers of the RT will perform before the audience, who will read the verses of Tatar poets.

“On the same day, students of the Kazan State Institute of Culture will show an extensive program. They will present an animated children's program “Following the Art” with draws, games, as well as master classes in painting, embroidery and theater art”, said M. Usmanov.

The holiday ends with an evening program. At 6 pm, songs in Tatar, Turkish, English, French and Italian will be performed on the stage, and choreographic groups will dance.

Also, guests of the festival will be able to taste the dishes of the Tatar national cuisine in the Museum “Tatarskaya Sloboda”.
