The new season in children's country camps start in Tatarstan on June 1

In total, over 200 thousand children will be covered with organized summer holidays this year.

(KZN.RU, May 21, Ksenia Shvetsova). From June 1, the first shifts in children's health camps start in Tatarstan. This year more than 200 thousand children in the republic will be covered by an organized summer holiday. 1815 recreation organizations will function for them. Damir Fattakhov, the minister for Youth Affairs, said this at the briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the RT today.

Tatarstan has preserved one of the largest recreational summer networks, which has about 150 objects, including state, municipal and departmental stationary camps, noted D. Fattakhov. This was achieved due to the fact that since 1996, a ban has been introduced in Tatarstan on the conversion of children's camps, he added.

Much attention in the republic is paid to the state of the infrastructure of children's camps. This year, the President of the TR made a decision to start a program on renovation and overhaul of country camps. About three billion rubles will be spent over three years, reminded D. Fattakhov. This will allow updating the children's camps built during the Soviet era. “Over these 3 years, 94 objects will be repaired in all 45 municipalities of the republic. We will be the only region where such infrastructure will exist”, said D. Fattakhov. “When we cover all the children of the republic, we can even accept children from other regions where there are no such conditions”.

This year, the renewal of the camps will cost 1.4 billion rubles. This will allow reconstructing or building from scratch of 21 country camps on the territory of Kazan and the republic’s municipalities. Renovation projects have been developed with the assistance of specialists who have studied the opinions of citizens. “A detailed analysis was carried out in each square meter of premises. The new camps will meet all modern requirements, and first of all, the requirements of children”, marked the speaker.

In total, organized recreation will cover 218672 children. Traditionally, recreation programs maintain their social orientation, noted D. Fattakhov. 54831 children from unprotected categories of the population will be provided with free vouchers. 573 children with disabilities, children with hearing, vision, intelligence, diabetes, cerebral palsy and autism, will have a vacation in the camps as well.

Systematic work of training specialists is carried out to provide children's camps with working personnel. Every year the School of Counselors is taking place in the republic, where about 2 thousand people study. Another 400 people study at the School of Counselors for children with deviant behavior.

However, the infrastructure of the camp and training is not all that is needed for a good recreation of children. All camps should be checked for compliance with all requirements and standards, said Rail Murashin, the director of the state institution “Republican Center for the Organization of Health, Recreation and Employment of Children and Teens “Leto”. “Currently, 7 prescriptions from 118 suburban camps and 23 prescriptions from 945 school camps have been received from the territorial bodies of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. The revealed violations are non-systemic and will be eliminated by the beginning of the season. Camps with violations of fire safety requirements or from Rospotrebnadzor will not be allowed to work”, he said.

Private security companies will provide security and order in the camps. More than 25 million rubles have been allocated for these purposes. Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have been assigned to all institutions, added R. Muratshin.
