The construction of the sports and recreation complex «FIZRA» Sports Center” in Salavat Kupere is completed by 70%

The construction of the sports and recreation complex «FIZRA Sports Center» is underway in the Salavat Kupere residential area. The facility is currently about 70% ready. Both adults and children will be able to visit it after opening. The capacity design of the sports venue will be over one thousand people per day. Along with classical sports such as football, basketball, and volleyball, phygital sports will be developed here. The Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin inspected the progress of construction.

«Sport is one of our key priorities. We ensure the systematic development of the sports infrastructure: since 2009, the number of sports venues in Kazan has doubled – from 323 to 644. Last year, we opened 11 new venues in different districts of the city and continue this work today. We pay special attention to Salavat Kupere. One of the largest sports complexes in the Volga region, FIZRA, is being built here. It will be a modern center for residents of Salavat Kupere to play sports within walking distance: the conditions are provided for both children and professional athletes and elderly people», – said Ilsur Metshin.

A new two-storey sports venue is being built on Zilantovskaya Street. The area of the complex will be about 4,200 square meters. It is designed for 1,026 people per day.

Construction work on the site began in autumn of 2024. By now, foundation work has already been completed, and the installation of the frame and exterior utilities has been completed. Presently, the construction workers are continuing facade work, roof installation, and laying of utility networks. About 40 construction workers work at the site every day.

According to the project, the ground floor of the sports complex will house playgrounds for team sports such as football, volleyball and basketball, as well as a padel court. All sports areas will be combined into a single space and separated by nets and colors for different sports.

A squash court, two halls for yoga and dance classes, as well as a fitness room for about 70 people will be equipped on the second floor. In addition, there will be a gym and a sports ring.

Work on the construction of a multi-purpose sports complex is being completed: a key stage of interior work is over at the site and preparations for the installation of sports surfaces are beginning.
