147 new container sites will be installed in Kazan

Four additional land plots have been allocated for the collection of construction waste in the city

This year, 147 new waste collection sites will be installed in Kazan: 127 of them will be located in apartment buildings and 20 in residential areas. The city budget allocates 50 million rubles for the construction and maintenance of these new sites. Iskander Giniyatullin, deputy head of the Kazan Executive Committee, reported about this during the Business Monday meeting.

“We need to use all possible means to solve the issue of waste management. This is our city and no one else will solve this issue for us,” - said the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin.

Over the past five years, 289 sites have been constructed in Kazan at the apartment buildings and residential areas.

Iskander Giniyatullin also announced that in 2023, a facility that accepts and processes construction waste was put into operation in Kazan. This was made possible by an investment project for collecting and processing construction waste, supported by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.
