In Kazan, a monument to the Hero of Russia Damir Gilemkhanov, was unveiled at school № 42

Today, a ceremony of the unveiling the monument to Damir Gilemkhanov, the Hero of Russia and fighter of the special military operation, took place at school №42 in Kazan. The event was attended by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Asgat Safarov, the Head of the Staff of the Rais of Tatarstan, the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, as well as representatives of the Young Army military-patriotic movement, participants of the special military operation, and students and teachers from the school.

Members of the family of Damir Gilemkhanov, the Hero of Russia, attended the ceremony, reports the Press Office of the Rais of Tatarstan.

The Rais of Tatarstan expressed his deep appreciation to Damir's family, especially his mother, as well as the hero's teachers.

“In these challenging times, it is particularly important that young people learn about their heroes - those who without hesitation defended their country, who selflessly and courageously performed their military duty,”- Rustam Minnikhanov said.
