Sabantuy at the Lebyzhie Lake: the evolution of the plow, installation of Kazan towels and sports competitions

<p> (KZN.RU, June 10). On June 23, a national holiday Sabantuy will take place in the park of the Lebyazhie Lake of the Kirovsky district. The entertainment program will be organized on various thematic platforms. A concert program with performances of creative bands of the city, colorful farmsteads, national sports competitions, children's Maidan, as well as separate zones with entertainment for young guests will be waiting for the guests. </p> <p> Famous artists, folklore ensembles, creative bands of the city and the republic will perform for the guests at the main concert venue. Zainab Farkhetdinov, Alsu Fazlieva and Azat Fazliev, Rayaz Fasikhov are among them. </p> <p> The Sabantuy museum will present the evolution of a plow, an ancient tool for plowing dense soil, as well as an installation from Kazan towels, which were previously embroidered for a national holiday. </p> <p> Everyone can take part in 11 national competitions and contests on the sports grounds: koresh, pole climbing, log walking, fighting with bags, weights, tug-of-war, running with a yoke, fighting pots, dragging a stick, running in bags, running with an egg in a spoon. All winners will be awarded valuable prizes. The final of the holiday will be the awarding of the champion-batyr of Sabantuy, he will be awarded the traditional prize, a ram. </p> <p> Also, a food court, an exhibition-sale of works of craftsmen, arts and crafts and souvenirs will be organized at the celebration site. </p> <p> The holiday will begin at 9.30 am, reports the press service of the Kirovsky and Moskovsky districts’ administration of Kazan. </p> <p> This year, the Tatar national holiday Sabantuy will be celebrated at four sites. </p>
