One-man band Veniamin Myasoedov will play a medley of Tatar and Russian songs on bagpipe in Kazan

700 musicians of glorified orchestras of Russia, Kazakstan, and Bulgaria will perform in the “Fanfare of Kazan” festival.

The guests of the “Fanfare of Kazan” festival which will be held in the capital city of Tatarstan from 8 to 11 August will find plenty of surprises and unusual performances. Among the most famous musicians of festival there is multi-instrumentalist Veniamin Myasoedov who will play a medley of Tatar and Russian songs on bagpipes. For the first time over 20 students of Bulgarian brass band will perform in the festival, as Zilya Valeeva, the director of the State Historical-Architectural and Art Reserve-Museum “Kazan Kremlin”, informed at the press-conference in the Ministry of Culture of RT.

This year the festival of “Fanfare of Kazan” brass bands will gather over 700 musicians from 19 glorified orchestras of Russia, Kazakstan, and Bulgaria which will perform at eight city sites.

“Festival will be interesting for plenty of military orchestras which will participate in it. This project shows a highly professional level of collectives which work at the Ministry of Defence, - Irada Ayupova, the Minister of Culture of RT, gave her opinion. - And we should not forget that Kremlin is an initially defensive structure, therefore, the festival of brass bands is an integral event of the conception of Kremlin“.

In 2017, the “Fanfare of Kazan” festival gathered about 40 thousand guests, and in 2018, there were about 90 thousand people, in turn Daria Sannikova, the director of the Tourism Promotion Committee, noted and added that this year an active involvement of guests from other countries in this event is expected.

Last year the festival for the first time went beyond the Kazan Kremlin and was held in city parks and squares. According to D.Sannikova, this tradition is planned to be continued. So, on August 8, the orchestras performances will take place in the Gorkinsko-Ometievsky forest, on August 10, the festival will be in the “Krylya Sovetov” park, and on August 11 - in parks named after Uritsky and “Chernoe Ozero”.

This year the festival feature will become a two-hour performance of brass bands on the territory of international airport Kazan which will take place on August 10.

90% of the participants of the festival are new collectives which have joined the event for the first time, as Zilya Valeeva, the director of the State Historical-Architectural and Art Reserve-Museum “Kazan Kremlin”, informed. Among such musicians there is a multi-instrumentalist Veniamin Myasoedov.

“It is a real one-man band who has mastered over 10 musical instruments and masterly plays the bagpipe, - Zilya Valeeva told. - Guests of the festival will get the exclusive – for the first time melodies of Tatar songs will be performed on the bagpipe. The musician is going to perform with combined orchestra a medley of Tatar and Russian songs“.

One more gift for festival guests will become performance of brass band by the secondary school named after Stanev from the city of Veliko-Tyrnovo in Bulgaria. It is presented more than by 20 students who will perform both with combined orchestra, and solo.

The glorified orchestras of Russia, Kazakstan, and Bulgaria will attend the “Fanfare of Kazan” festival, and also and elegant, stylish cheerleaders from Nizhni Novgorod will arrive at Kazan.

The festival will not bypass the World Championshion WorldSkillsKazan 2019. According to Z.Valeeva, the guests will find plenty of surprises and unusual performances devoted to the championship.

We will add that traditionally the brightest performance of the “Fanfare of Kazan” festival will be held on the Kazan Kremlin site.
