From 19 to 23 June, the 2nd All-Russian Children’s Folk Art Festival will be held in Kazan. The event will bring together more than 1 thousand young guardians of traditions from all regions of the country.
The best children’s and youth folklore creative groups of children aged 10 to 18 years will take part, informs the press office of the Tatarstan Ministry of Culture.
Implemented with the support of the country’s Ministry of Culture within the framework of the “Folk Art for Children” project, the creative action is aimed at preserving cultural identity and popularising the cultural heritage of the peoples and ethnic communities of Russia.
The All-Russian Children’s Folk Art Festival will be held along with the closing ceremony of the BRICS Games and celebration of Sabantuy. It will be held on 23 June at three sites – in the birch grove of the Mirny village, Derbyshki residential area and Lebyazhye forest park.
