Yoshkar-Ola is the capital of the Republic of Mari El. Yoshkar-Ola in Russian means Red City. During its history, the city has changed its name several times. Yoshkar-Ola is a multifunctional city with a predominance of industry, in which the leading role belongs to the enterprises of mechanical engineering, building materials, food industry. The city of Yoshkar-Ola is one of the greenest cities in Russia. The capital of the Republic of Mari El is in the top 10 of the environmental rating among Russian cities.

The municipal formation of the city of Krasnodar (Ekaterinodar before 1920) is an administrative, industrial, business and cultural center of the Krasnodar Territory. The city is located on the Kuban-Azov (Prikubanskaya) lowland, on the right bank of the Kuban river, 1539 km south of Moscow.

Krasnodar is major transportation hub, which includes all kinds of transport: air, rail, river, bus and urban electric transport (tram, trolleybus). Modern Krasnodar is the industrial center. About 50 thousand people or more than 11% of all employed in the city’s economy work at 127 large and medium-sized, as well as numerous small industrial enterprises. On March 29, 2021, representatives of the Administration of Samara took part in the online seminar of the Eurasian branch of the World organization United Cities and Local Governments (Kazan) on Localization of the Sustainable Development Goals.

On the 2nd of June, 2021 the Deputy Head of Samara City District, Head of the Department of Economic Development, Investments and Trade Vladimir Zotov took part in the International forum "Healthy Cities. On June 21-23, 2024, Vladimir Reprintsev, Executive Director of the Association of Cities of the Volga Region, visited Kazan to participate in the International Forum of the BRICS+ Cities. 

On the night of August 17-18, 2024, participants from Samara took part in the "Night Bikefest" in Kazan.

A team of chess players from the city of Samara visited Kazan to participate in a chess tournament as part of the II International Forum «SPROUTS: Russia and China - Mutually Beneficial Cooperation», which was held on November 14-15, 2024 in Kazan.

On December 18, 2024, the Committee for Tourism Development of Kazan made a presentation of the tourism potential of the capital of Tatarstan at the round table “Interregional cooperation in the field of tourism” as part of the IX Forum in the field of tourism and hospitality “Tour Attraction 2024” in Samara.
