Zulya Kamalova, “Buranovskie Babushki”, Dina Garipova, Feduk, “Pompeya” and “Rondo” will perform at the City Day

The cultural program on August 30 will take place at ten sites in Kazan.

(KZN.RU, August 19). Kazan is preparing to celebrate City Day and Republic Day. Many festive events will be held in the city on August 30. But celebrations in districts of the city will begin in advance. Azat Abzalov, the head of the Department of Culture, spoke about the festive program today at the Business Monday in the Kazan Executive Committee.

On August 28, a traditional holiday “Happy Birthday, beloved city!” will be organized in the park “Krylya Sovetov” for residents of the Aviastroitelny and Novo-Savinovsky districts. The program includes “The City of Masters”, demonstrations by aircraft modelers, sports, children's attractions, as well as a concert program with the participation of the popular folklore collective “Buranovskie Babushki”.

On August 26, residents of the Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky districts could attend the event “Friends in Our Yard” with the performance of bands and artists in the park “Kaleidoscope”.

For residents of the Sovetsky district, the holiday will be held on August 29 on Sovetskaya Square. A bright concert program “In the city garden...” will be organized there.

During the festive week, themed holidays of the yard will be held on the territory of the Kirovsky and Moskovsky districts. Bands will perform, sports and games for children will be held there. On August 21, the regional winners of the contest “The voice of our team, the voice of our yard” will be determined at the festival in Vasilchenko Square.

The main events of Republic Day and City Day will be held on August 30. “Traditionally, the morning of the holiday will begin with the annual city ceremonial meeting in the Kazan City Hall, where honorary citizens will be honored”, reported A. Abzalov.

At 11 am, the children's holiday “Treasures of the Old Park” starts in the Gorky Park. Young visitors and their parents will have 8 thematic play areas with an exhibition of technical creativity, interactive and contests, an athletics cross-country race at a sports ground, a chess tournament and basketball competitions. In addition, there will be a playground with an entertainment program from the characters of your favorite cartoons.

From 12 pm, the Kazan Kremlin will host the festival of urban culture and arts “Tat Cult”. It will present relevant trends in the field of culture, history and contemporary art. The guests will enjoy film screenings and theatrical performances by Kazan directors and artists. Interactive art objects and special projects of young artists will be presented there. The headliners of the festival will be famous performers Aigel, Zulya Kamalova, Albert Nurminsky, and others.

Festive events in the Staro-Tatarskaya Sloboda on the pedestrian street of Nasyri start at 12 pm. Participants of the project “Zhiznelyub” will give a concert for Kazan citizens. Artists of the inclusive studio “E-Motsiya” will show theater performance “City of open hearts”. More than 800 singers and dancers from Russia and neighboring countries will become participants in the festival of folk song and dance art “Kazan Solgese”.

At the same time, a children's holiday will take place on Boulevard “Belye Tsvety”. “As part of the opening of the new territory in the park, guests will attend a concert and entertainment program with participants of the children's festival “Main Characters”. Characters of cartoons and popular television programs, as well as performances by singer Dina Garipova and TV presenter Yulia Baranovskaya will delight young visitors”, said the speaker.

At 12 pm, the Kazan city motor racing show will begin on Millennium Square. The program will be opened by the passage of a convoy of 50 Harley-Davidson club motorcyclists. The motorcycle race “From the Moscow Kremlin to the Kazan Kremlin to the 100th anniversary of the TASSR” will finish here. The legendary team “KAMAZ-Master” will become a traditional participant in the show; this year they prepared a special entertainment program”, said A. Abzalov.

At 1 pm, the participants of the open republican festival of creativity of working youth “Our time” will go to one of the central sites of the city near the Kamal Theater. At 3 pm, the festival of folk art “Play, accordion” will be held there.

At 1.30 pm, the equestrian festival will begin at the Kazan Hippodrome. The program includes exciting races and races for the Prize of the President of the RT and the Kazan City Hall, a concert program and, a drawing of valuable gifts.

“At 8 pm, the traditional open-air opera festival “Kazan Autumn” will be held on the square in front of the Palace of Culturologist. It is organized by the State Symphony Orchestra of the RT under the direction of maestro Alexander Sladkovsky. Classical music will be performed by soloists of the Mariinsky Theater Vladislav Sulimsky and Ekaterina Semenchuk”, said the head of the Department of Culture.

At 5 pm, a large festive concert program will begin at the Family Center “Kazan”, with famous performers: Kazan Egetlare, Lane, Feduk, Pompeya and “Rondo” bands. The winners of the karaoke contest “Voice of our team - Voice of our yard” will also perform there.

The celebration at this venue will end at 10 pm with a festive salute on the waters of the Kazanka River. The best viewing point is the shore near the Kremlin and the Family Center “Kazan”.

“In addition, festive visiting trade in food products, handicrafts, and souvenir products will be organized at the site”, noted A. Abzalov.

“This traditional holiday is always long-waited by the citizens. Many guests come so this is a special day for us. Traditionally, we complete most of the repair and construction works to it. We will open 11 new kindergartens, 3 new schools, we will repair yards where we spend holidays of the yard, and we will open the second stage of Boulevard “Belye Tsvety”, said Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan. He invited everyone to join the large-scale celebration of the City Day and the Day of the Republic of Tatarstan.
